Iona Singleton

is a somatic psychologist and creative based in New York City. Her work draws on over a decade of international experience across North & South America, Europe, the UK, Japan, and two years living in India, shaping a culturally sensitive, integrative approach to mental health and wellbeing.

She works clinically with Newus Clinic in London, Backline Care internationally, OnPoint NYC, and as a program affiliate with Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy at NYU. Trained in somatics, art therapy, herbal and Ayurvedic medicine, and trauma-informed embodied practices, she is pursuing a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy with the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling and Middlesex University, while training with Dr. Gabor Maté.

Her early career bridged music and mental health, touring internationally with King Crimson and consulting for the non-profit Sounds of Saving, producing films that opened dialogue on artists’ mental health beyond clinical settings.

She founded Within Without in 2020, a publication series created alongside friend and musician Bill Rieflin. The project evolved into a creative community exploring the theme Legacy of Love in 2022, and hosts trauma-informed workshops worldwide.
